- Ensure the machine is turned off and depressurised before installation
- Clean the mounting area to remove dirt, oil or debris
- Inspect the gauge for damage; check that threads and sealing surfaces are clean
- Apply pipe sealant or PTFE tape to the gauge’s threaded connection for a tight seal
- Align the gauge and thread it into the mounting port by hand, then tighten with a wrench
- Check all seals for leaks and test the indicator by filling the tank to ensure accurate readings
